
Dr Jill Lloyd-Peppiatt is a writer and curator specializing in twentieth-century art, with particular expertise for German and Austrian art.
Jill has organised many critically acclaimed exhibitions for leading museums and has published widely. Her book German Expressionism, Primitivism and Modernity (Yale University Press), was awarded the National Art Book Prize.

Jill is a member of the board of trustees for the Neue Galerie New York, where she has curated several major exhibitions including Van Gogh and Expressionism, Vasily Kandinsky: From Blaue Reiter to Bauhaus, Ferdinand Hodler, Vienna 1900, Munch and Expressionism, Richard Gerstl, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, and Paula Modersohn-Becker, which she presents in the video above.
In 2023-24, she co-curated Edvard Munch, Trembling Earth, shown at the Clark Art Institute, Museum Barberini, Potsdam, and Munch Museum, which was named a best art exhibition of the year by the Washington Post.
